Kitchen Staples pt. 1


One of the most important ingredients in the food we cook is – SEASONINGS!

I don’t care how great of a cut of steak you have, no steak is good unless you add something to it – even if its just some salt and pepper. We need seasonings for everything we cook. Even if its just salt.

Spices – I keep them all in a medium size tote, that I keep on top of my refrigerator. It saves me cabinet space, and it is easy to clean. Yes, it gets dusty, and sometimes it gets greasy if I am frying chicken. This is fixed by one of two ways. Keep an old kitchen towel over the top, or simply wipe it off when cleaning the refrigerator. Here is the list of spices I always keep on-hand (in no particular order)
Adobo (without Pepper)

Garlic Powder
Dried Minced Onion
Mrs. Dash Table Blends Roasted Garlic & Herb
Oregano Leaves
Basil Leaves

McCormick Table Blend Vegetable Blend
Garlic Salt
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Ginger
Pumpkin Pie Spice
Cream of Tarter
McCormick Grill Mates Barbecue
Onion Powder
Seasoned Salt
Chipotle Seasoning
Chili Powder
Chicken Seasoning
Black Pepper
Sea Salt
Table Salt
