Retro Housewife: An Attentive Wife – Day 7

Over the course of a decade, the cost of the average family home more than doubled. In 1950, homes sold for $14,500 (compared to $30,000 in 1959).

And some households, a man’s wife was the original television remote control. The first electronic version came out in 1950 and was called “Lazy Bones”. Zenith Electronics Corporation (known at the time of Zenith Radio Corporation) developed a cable that stretch between the TV and the viewer and operate a motor connected to the tuner. So convenient, many consumers complain of the devices take a look and tripping hazard.
